Flowchart has been applied in assembly language and early BASIC language environment. A flowchart is a graphical representation of the flow of information, ideas, or components through a system. In an enterprise, a flowchart is mainly used to illustrate a process. This process can be either the process flow of the production line or the management process necessary to complete a task. Flowcharts are sometimes called input-output diagrams. The diagram visually describes the specific steps of a work process. Flowcharts are extremely helpful in understanding exactly how things are going and deciding how to improve the process. This method can be applied to the whole enterprise, so as to intuitively track and illustrate the operation mode of the enterprise. The flowchart uses some standard symbols to represent certain types of actions, such as diamond boxes for decisions and boxes for specific activities. But more important than these symbols is to clearly describe the sequence of the work process. Flow charts can also be used to design and improve the work process. The specific approach is to first draw how things should be done, and then compare it with the actual situation.
